Welcome to CS Article Finder
The service that lets you discover
the Christian Science periodicals from the Internet.
CS Article Finder (CSAF) is an online facility that
enables you to keyword search all english based periodicals (issues of the Christian Science Sentinel
from 1898 and The Christian Science Journal from 1883) that have been published by the Christian
Science Publishing Society (CSPS).
Please feel free to explore, though as this is a subscription based site
( current registration fees and payment methods are displayed on the
“Registration Info” page - use link on the page footer)
the demo login (password is also ‘demo’) inhibits the display of certain ‘fundamental’ data elements purely to allow
you to test the site’s suitability and try out its functionality. Feedback
is always appreciated through the “Site Feedback” link on the page footer.

 Benefits
- It’s always up-to-date - periodical content
can be referenced on-line very shortly after publication.
- It is licenced to you the user and not tied to a fixed computer, and can
be accessed via any web browser on any computer (such as an internet cafe)
that has an internet connection. You could also, for example,
visit any out of town Reading Room which has broadband and use CSAF
to look up Bound Volume articles without altering the setup or
configuration of that computer. Printing would, though, require the pre-approval
of the local librarian.
- As there is no software installation requirement there is no
operating system related issues (eg Vista) - the dependency is
on the browser and not the computer operating system.
- Articles can be accessed by category (a grouping of
related subject matter), series (columns or themed articles published over a
period of time) and article sources (ie all articles from a church related
authority). There are also a large variety of options for searching and sorting
of articles, and responses to these requests are very quick over a broadband connection.
- The website uses modern web technologies (AJAX/MySQL/PHP),
and is very responsive to the needs of its user base via the email
feedback mechanism.
 Sample comments
- We have found it very easy to use and the best aspect of it is that as each
periodical comes in, the titles and authors are immediately entered. Also, with
most periodicals you can get the exact publication date
I think it’s
brilliant the way you’ve got everything into categories
